36th Annual Governor's Safety and Health Conference and Exposition

OSHA 7405
Fall Hazard Awareness for the Construction Industry
Presented by Eastern Kentucky University, OSHA Training Institute Education Center
Tuesday, May 5
Part 1: 8:00-11:45 am
Part 2: 1:45-4:30 pm
Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees.  Those deaths are preventable.  This class covers the identification, evaluation, prevention, and control of fall hazards in the construction industry.  The class focuses on falls to a lower level rather than falls to the same level resulting from slips and falls.  Class topics include identifying, analyzing, and preventing fall hazards utilizing OSHA fall protection standards.  At the conclusion of the course, students will have an awareness level of identifying fall hazards and methods to control and abate the hazards.

Attendees that successfully complete this class will receive the OSHA 7405 Certificate of Completion.  This class begins Tuesday, May 5 at 8:00 am and continues until 4:30 pm with a break to facilitate participants attending the Governor’s Opening Luncheon.  Attendees must participate in the entire duration of both classes to be eligible for testing, training credit, and certificate.  This class is limited to the first forty (40) paid registrants.  You can select the class during the registration process and each class is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Although it is highly unlikely, KSHN reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum number of students.  But that never happens; classes fill quickly so register early!
