or
Tuesday, 8:00-11:45 am
This class is designed to provide a wide variety of professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. It teaches critical skills needed to respond to, as well as manage, a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency. Attendees learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This class also teaches adult CPR and AED use.
Attendees that successfully complete this class will receive an American Heart Association certification card that is valid for two (2) years. This class also meets re-certification requirements.
This class is presented Monday and offered again Tuesday. Participants only need to attend one (1) of classes for credit. Each class is limited to the first sixteen (16) participants; late arriving participants cannot be accommodated. Attendees must participate in the entire duration of either class to be eligible for testing, training credit, and certificate. You can select either class during the registration process and each class is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Although it is highly unlikely, KSHN reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum number of students. But that never happens; classes fill quickly so register early!
