Monday
10:00 am-2:30 pm
Tour UPS Worldport, the heart of UPS’s global air network! Jump on a shuttle with a planned destination to the largest automated package handling facility in the world.
Get an up close view of this technological marvel covering 5.2 million square feet (that’s 90 football fields)! This location is the center point of UPS’s worldwide air network which is one of the world’s largest, safest and most on-time airlines. UPS Airlines integrates small packages and heavy freight in its daily network serving 779 destinations and 220 countries and territories worldwide. More than 300 flights arrive and depart daily, and the hub processes roughly two million packages a day, increasing to more than four (4) million during the December peak holiday shipping season.
This tour will highlight the cornerstone of an integrated transportation network that makes UPS the global leader in logistics. It enables UPS to make more guaranteed on-time deliveries around the world than any other carrier.
Business casual attire is recommended with solid, comfortable footwear; participants must wear closed toe shoes. Please ensure all attire is weather appropriate. Participants are required to bring a photo ID to gain access to airport property once at Worldport and go through a security screening. No weapons are permitted, including pocket knives.
This tour is limited to forty (40) attendees and may be selected during the registration process. The tour is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Transportation is provided; self-transportation to UPS Worldport is not permitted. Prior to departing in provided transportation, participants will meet promptly at 10:00 am EST at the Galt House to review UPS tour policies and complete necessary paperwork. Participants must attend the briefing to participate in the tour.
This activity has a minimum number of attendees. Although it is highly unlikely, KSHN reserves the right to cancel this activity if it does not achieve the minimum number of participants. But that’s never happened, tours fill quickly!
